Project 1995 Opel Astra Sedan for sale in Gordon's Bay, Western Cape for sale
This is a very, very sad day selling my 95 Opel Astra 2 liter 8 valve for spares. Car is running and engine was rebuilt 2500km ago but unfortunately I don't have the time or the money to finish the rebuild. We now have a baby boy which needs our time and attention and I'm just not getting to finish the car.
Spent over R50k over the last 2 years but still needed to do the following, to finish the project:
New Idle control valve
New thermostat
Wiring redone. (Guy who did it got the car running but not the onboard display)
Fit E46 leather front seats
Fit imported speedo gauge plasma dials
Fit debadged grill
Fit sound
Remove a few rust spots and dents and spray
Replace windscreen
Repair roof liner
As said earlier, the car is running and I do drive it around every now and then, just to keep the motor ticking over but don't have the time or money to finish. Before the rebuild, the dyno results were 85kw ATF @ 179nm. It should now be 95 - 100kw and closer to 200nm. Was eager to get it to a dyno to find out, but again, time and money are the problem. So my loss, could be your gain.
